"Virtual Internet Celebrity VTuber" is an emerging industry that combines technology and popular markets. It is currently creating a trend around the world. In order to promote the development of this innovative industry, we established this association in 2019. It operates with four cores of "local culture, international exchange, educational innovation, and virtual technology", and holds "VTuber Character Design Competition" and "VTuber Hackathon Creation Event" every year to help promote Taiwan's cultural characteristics to the global market, and " International Virtual Production Forum", invites well-known experts and scholars related to virtual production from all over the world to come to Taiwan to promote exchanges in Taiwan's real estate industry, and deepen the development of Taiwan's education, create somatosensory immersion teaching, and strive to cultivate the next generation and enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan's virtual production. The new digital era of virtual and real integration is coming, and the association will introduce various forward-looking technologies to bring the power to accelerate the promotion of virtual production in Taiwan!
Avatars, production tools, and community resources for next-gen media
Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group (tkww.hk) has adopted AI “digital human” news anchors across its outlets, led by DotDotNews, which introduced six hyper-realistic presenters in 2023 and later expanded the lineup. These avatars serve as “digital doubles” of human hosts and are used to deliver daily news and special coverage such as China’s Two Sessions, with multilingual support in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. The group promotes audience engagement by featuring the digital anchors in programs like Dim Gun Heung Gong and DotDotNews, organizing student visits to learn about their production, and positioning the technology as a practical application of AI in mainstream Hong Kong media.
DotDotNews (dotdotnews.com), a Hong Kong news outlet, has integrated AI “digital human” anchors into its programming, announcing itself as the first local media to do so. In October 2023 it introduced six hyper-realistic presenters - Ethan, Ellie, Chan Tai-man, Cheung Yat-man, Koo Fai, and Lee Muk - who appear on shows such as Dim Gun Heung Gong and DotDotNews to deliver daily news, with a second cohort of five additional digital anchors added in March 2024. The outlet features these AI presenters across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Weibo, including interviews and Two Sessions–themed Vlogs where digital anchors interact with guests. Posts also highlight broader “digital human” applications in culture and exhibitions, while providing contact details and regular updates through its platform.

TBWA has played a central role in South Korea’s virtual human advertising landscape, most notably through its collaboration with Shinhan Life to launch the virtual influencer “Rozy,” a 22-year-old female character portrayed as eternally youthful and tech-savvy. Developed as part of Shinhan Life’s rebranding, Rozy was created using AI and digital human technologies and has become a well-known advertising figure, even appearing in interviews and TV ads. TBWA’s work highlights the growing trend of companies using digital humans instead of traditional celebrities to avoid risks and increase campaign control. TBWA Korea also operates the “Senior Lab” and “Data Lab,” exploring how digital humans impact different demographics, while its global network experiments with AI-driven platforms like “Collective AI” to support content creation.
“Tele-Encounters: Beyond the Human” (2020-2023) explores the impact of the Internet, robots, and AI on human relationships, as well as the meaningful integration of these technologies into the arts.
