Notes:
MALLET (MAchine Learning for LanguagE Toolkit) is a free, open-source machine learning software package written in Java that was developed for natural language processing (NLP) tasks. It was developed at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and was widely used in academia and industry for various NLP applications, including dialogue systems, social computing, and recommendation systems.
MALLET was notable for its wide range of features and capabilities, including tools for text classification, topic modeling, sequence labeling, and other NLP tasks. It was also notable for its user-friendly interface and easy-to-use API, which made it accessible to researchers and developers with a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.
However, the use of MALLET in the academic literature appears to have declined between 2013 and 2018. There could be a variety of reasons for this decline, including the emergence of newer and more advanced NLP software packages, changes in research priorities and focus, or other factors.
