Notes:
A character engine is a software program or system that is used to generate, animate, or control characters in a video game or other interactive experience. A character engine is typically designed to be flexible and modular, allowing developers to create, customize, and manage a wide range of different characters, with varying appearances, behaviors, and abilities.
A character engine typically includes a number of different components and features, such as:
- Character design tools: These tools allow developers to create and customize the appearance of characters, including their physical characteristics, clothing, and accessories.
- Animation tools: These tools allow developers to animate characters, by defining their movements, actions, and expressions.
- Behavior scripts: These scripts allow developers to define the rules and logic that govern the characters’ behaviors, such as how they move, interact with the environment, or respond to the player’s actions.
- Physics simulations: These simulations allow characters to move and interact with the environment in a realistic and physical way, by taking into account factors such as gravity, friction, and collisions.
- AI algorithms: These algorithms allow characters to make decisions and take actions based on the rules and logic that are defined in the behavior scripts, as well as the input and feedback that they receive from the player and the environment.
Overall, a character engine is a software program or system that is used to generate, animate, or control characters in a video game or other interactive experience. It typically includes a variety of tools and features that allow developers to create, customize, and manage a wide range of different characters, with varying appearances, behaviors, and abilities.
