Notes:
A dialog management framework is a system or set of tools that are used to design, develop, and maintain dialog systems. Dialog systems are computer programs that enable human users to communicate with a system through natural language, either through written text or spoken conversation.
Dialog management frameworks typically include the following components:
- Language understanding: This component is responsible for interpreting the user’s input and extracting the relevant information or intent.
- State tracking: This component maintains a record of the current state of the dialog, including the user’s inputs and the system’s responses.
- Dialog planning: This component determines the appropriate response or action based on the current state of the dialog and the user’s input.
- Output generation: This component is responsible for generating the system’s response, which may be in the form of text, speech, or other types of output.
