What is an open source alternative to wit.ai?

What is an open source alternative to wit.ai?

I have listed many alternatives in my Quora question, below.  However, most are web APIs (which is my preference).  There are open source dialog systems with APIs, such as Program-O and ChatScript.  However, in terms of automated virtual assistants and Internet of Things, we are increasingly seeing so-called “do-engines” replace dialog systems per se.  The do-engines are more focused on dialog acts, or voice commands, than conventional natural language question answering.

What are the best dialog system APIs for the Internet of Things?
