The Visual Understanding Environment, or VUE, is a free, open-source concept mapping application that was developed at Tufts University. It is written in the Java programming language and is designed to help users create and organize visual representations of ideas and information. Concept maps are a type of graphical representation that show the relationships between different concepts and ideas. VUE allows users to create and edit concept maps, link them to other resources such as images and documents, and share them with others.
