Workflow & Chatbots

Notes:

Workflow is a term that refers to the series of steps or tasks that are involved in completing a particular process. Workflows can be used to describe the sequence of steps involved in any process, such as a business process, a manufacturing process, or a software development process.

In the context of chatbots, workflow refers to the series of steps or tasks that the chatbot follows in order to complete a specific task or process. For example, a chatbot might have a workflow for handling customer service inquiries, which involves identifying the customer’s problem, providing a solution or answering the question, and verifying that the customer’s problem has been resolved.

Workflows can be used to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes, and they are often used in conjunction with chatbots to improve efficiency and customer service. For example, a chatbot with a customer service workflow might be able to handle simple inquiries and requests automatically, freeing up human customer service representatives to handle more complex or specialized tasks. Workflows can also be used to guide users through a process, such as making a purchase or booking a reservation, by providing clear instructions and prompts at each step.
