What are some good topics for a Master’s thesis in an area of robotics and machine learning?

I’m going to say user interfaces, perhaps a comprehensive survey. In terms of cloud robotics, there is not good middleware for integrating robotics and machine learning – especially for normal people. I’m particularly interested in user-friendly interfaces for the plethora of remote machine learning APIs. I’m most interested in “Lego-ization”, and the plug-and-play model, which to some degree would require as yet non-existent standards. Think “Integration Platform as a Service”, something along the lines of Salesforce meets MATLAB, up to the challenges of experimental AI of all kinds.
