Notes:
“Story sifting” or “story recognition” refers to the process of identifying and extracting narrative elements from a text or other source. This can involve identifying the characters, events, and other elements that make up a story, and organizing them in a way that allows the story to be understood and appreciated. In the context of interactive emergent narrative, story sifting may be used to generate and manipulate narratives in real-time, allowing users to interact with and shape the story as it unfolds.
Story recognition or sifting can be automated using natural language processing and machine learning algorithms. These algorithms can be trained on a large dataset of stories or narrative text, in order to learn the patterns and structures that are characteristic of stories. Once trained, the algorithms can be used to automatically identify and extract narrative elements from new texts, allowing stories to be automatically recognized and analyzed.
