Shinhan Life Insurance has changed the CEO of its healthcare subsidiary, Shinhan Qubeon, on the latter’s second anniversary. The new CEO is expected to strengthen the digital healthcare business centered on the mobile home training platform. Shinhan Qubeon, a healthcare subsidiary fully funded by Shinhan Life Insurance, launched a home training service in May where AI digital humans instruct users in exercises. The service, offered through the mobile home training platform HowFIT, uses an AI virtual human trainer ‘Kim Iso’ to guide pilates and yoga classes. With the launch of the home training service utilizing AI digital humans, the number of HowFIT users is expected to increase. A Shinhan Life representative said that Shinhan Qubeon plans to enhance its digital healthcare market strategy by providing a differentiated online and offline exercise experience.
