**DeepBrainAI Revives Independence Activist Yun Bong-gil through AI**
DeepBrainAI, in commemoration of Korea’s Liberation Day, has recreated the figure of independence activist Yun Bong-gil as a virtual human. This innovative endeavor was realized in collaboration with CJ CGV and KINOTON KOREA and is slated to be showcased on media poles and electronic billboards around Gangnam Station starting August 14.
Yun Bong-gil’s virtual representation was digitally brought to life from a sole black-and-white photograph. The process involved high-resolution restoration, colorization, facial data extraction, and deep learning techniques. To enhance realism, lip-syncing technology was integrated to simulate natural gestures and lip movements.
The captivating campaign, which includes this impressive virtual recreation, is scheduled to run for 10 days. It will be prominently displayed on an array of billboards spanning the bustling Gangnam area.
DeepBrainAI’s CEO, Jang Se-young, acknowledged the profound significance of employing AI video synthesis technology to shed light on the sacrifices of these revered independence activists. Jang further emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to harnessing AI’s potential to celebrate and elevate historical values. It’s noteworthy that DeepBrainAI has previously ventured into AI video synthesis to rejuvenate other cherished independence activists and even flaunted an interactive AI rendition of Yun Bong-gil at a recent prominent AI & Big Data exposition.
