The China Internet Society (ISC) has actively promoted the development of digital humans through a wide range of initiatives, centered on the 2024 (first) China Digital Human Conference held in Beijing. Themed “Digital Human Applications and the Future,” the event featured forums on AI integration, media innovation, education, and governance. It marked the release of the China Digital Human Development Report (2024), which defines digital humans as AI-driven models with human-like appearance, voice, motion, or thought capabilities supported by large models. ISC also launched the “Digital Human Application Capability Competition,” industry showcases like the “Digital Human Boutique Showcase,” and the “AI+ Digital Human” track within national AI skill competitions. These events aim to advance applications, build industry standards, and cultivate talent. The association emphasizes full-lifecycle digital human capabilities, innovation in media and education, and strategic collaboration with enterprises and government. It also coordinates special research, talent recruitment, and ecosystem mapping efforts to position China as a leader in digital human technologies.
