Notes:
Smart characters are digital or virtual characters that are designed to exhibit intelligent behavior, such as the ability to communicate, make decisions, and learn from their experiences. They can be used in a variety of applications, such as video games, virtual assistants, and simulations. These characters are often designed to be interactive and engaging, and can be created using a variety of technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. Some examples of smart characters include virtual personal assistants, like Siri and Alexa, and digital characters in video games that can respond to the player’s actions and decisions.
- Interactive narrative refers to a type of storytelling in which the audience is able to influence the course of the story. This can be done through a variety of means, such as making choices that affect the outcome of the story, or by providing input that shapes the characters’ actions and behaviors. Interactive narratives are often used in video games, virtual reality experiences, and other interactive media.
- Narrative synthesis is a process in which multiple narrative strands are combined to create a cohesive story. This can involve combining elements from different sources, such as characters, settings, and plot points, to create a new narrative that incorporates elements from each of the original sources.
- Semantic storytelling is a type of storytelling that relies on the use of semantic technologies, such as natural language processing and ontologies, to represent and manipulate the content of a story. This allows for the creation of stories that can be understood and interpreted by machines, as well as by humans.
- Storyworld is the imaginary world in which a story takes place. It can include the characters, settings, objects, and events that are featured in the story, as well as the rules and laws that govern the world and the relationships between the various elements. In some cases, a storyworld may be based on real-world locations and events, while in others it may be completely fictional.
