Notes:
The question generation module is a component of a dialog system that is responsible for generating questions that can be used to elicit information from the user. This module typically receives input from a variety of other modules, such as the natural language understanding module, the conversation control module, and the ontology extraction module. It then uses this information to generate questions that are appropriate for the current conversation and the user’s goals and preferences.
The question generation module typically includes a set of rules or algorithms that define how the system should generate questions based on the current context and the user’s goals and preferences. For example, the module may use rules to identify gaps or missing information in the current conversation, and then generate questions that can be used to fill these gaps. It may also use algorithms to generate questions that are more complex or sophisticated, such as questions that involve natural language processing or logical reasoning.
Once the questions have been generated, they are passed to the language generation module, which converts them into natural language text that can be output to the user. The language generation module may also apply additional processing, such as prosody modeling or voice transformation, to make the generated questions more natural and expressive.
- Automatically generating questions refers to the process of creating questions without human intervention, typically through the use of a computer program or system.
- Question generation system is a tool or software that is designed to automatically generate questions.
- Question generator module is a specific component or function within a system that is responsible for generating questions.
