Notes:
Shallow natural language processing (NLP) is a type of artificial intelligence that is designed to analyze and understand text data, particularly human language. It is typically used to extract structured information from unstructured text, such as identifying named entities, classifying text into predefined categories, or extracting relationships between entities.
Shallow NLP is a broad term that can refer to a variety of techniques, such as part-of-speech tagging, chunking, and lemmatization. These techniques are designed to extract relatively simple features from text data, such as the grammatical structure of a sentence or the underlying lemma (base form) of a word.
Shallow NLP is often used in a variety of applications, such as information retrieval, text classification, and machine translation. It can also be used as a building block for more advanced NLP techniques, such as deep learning-based approaches, which can analyze text data at a more nuanced and contextual level.
