is a good source of information on AI startups in India. In Bangalore, the so-called “Silicon Valley” of India, there has been a bifurcation happening over the past year or so, with Natural Language Processing startups being overtaken by Computer Vision startups. Bangalore is not the capital of NLP in India in any case, with IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Mumbai producing the most PhDs. NLP is overshadowed by Machine Learning and Big Data, particularly in Bangalore; though, Sentiment Analysis is rapidly gaining ground within the IT industry.
Apparently, the, founded by at IIIT Hyderabad, is the largest academic center for computational linguistics research in South Asia.
I suggest to start by making a presentation at the new meetup,.
