Artificial intelligence is basically willy nilly, stabbing in the dark, trying to model “natural intelligence”.

Artificial intelligence and neuroscience represent a kind of “playing both ends against the middle”.  Theoretically, artificial intelligence is supposed to be about brain simulation; however, only recently has the availability of brain scanning technology begun to provide dramatic strides in computational neuroscience.
