What is the best way to find good tech co-founders in India who are experts in artificial intelligence?

Has any Indian startup or company forayed into the race for artificial intelligence?

Yourstory.com is a good source of information on AI startups in India.  In Bangalore, the so-called “Silicon Valley” of India, there has been a bifurcation happening over the past year or so, with Natural Language Processing startups being overtaken by Computer Vision startups.  Bangalore is not the capital of NLP in India in any case, with IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Mumbai producing the most PhDs.  NLP is overshadowed by Machine Learning and Big Data, particularly in Bangalore; though, Sentiment Analysis is rapidly gaining ground within the IT industry.

Which firms/institutes in India have a strong research department for language technology and statistical NLP?

Apparently, the Language Technologies Research Centre, founded by Rajeev Sangal at IIIT Hyderabad, is the largest academic center for computational linguistics research in South Asia.

How do you find technical talent in India focused on building AI based products?

I suggest to start by making a presentation at the new meetup, Bangalore Artificial Intelligence Community.
