Notes:
A robopsychologist is a researcher or professional who studies the psychological and cognitive aspects of robots and artificial intelligence. This can include understanding how robots perceive and interact with the world, how they learn and make decisions, and how they can be designed to better understand and interact with humans. Robopsychologists may also study the psychological effects of interacting with robots, such as how people form emotional attachments to them. This field is considered a sub-discipline of cognitive psychology, human-robot interaction and AI ethics.
The references below mention the use of social robots in robotherapy and robopsychology to establish emotional relationships with the elderly to encourage social interaction. The text also mentions the laws that robots are required to follow in order to prevent them from performing immoral or dangerous tasks, and the implications of robopsychology for future research, theory development, and practice. The text also mentions the history of robotic development and the problems that robopsychologists have encountered with robots.
