Notes:
A cognitive tutor is a type of intelligent tutoring system (ITS) that uses a cognitive model to provide feedback and guidance to students as they work through problems or tasks. Cognitive tutors are designed to mimic the way that a human tutor or teacher might interact with a student, by providing feedback and guidance based on the student’s actions and responses.
Cognitive tutors are often used in educational settings, such as schools or online learning platforms, to help students learn new concepts or skills. They can be used to supplement traditional classroom instruction, or as a standalone learning tool.
Cognitive tutors use a cognitive model to understand how students think and learn, and to provide feedback and guidance that is tailored to their individual needs and abilities. This can include providing hints or suggestions to help students work through problems, or offering feedback on the student’s work to help them understand where they made mistakes and how to improve.
