Would you use a personal reading assistant?

I would like to see your definition of a “personal reading assistant” in the question details…. I have been searching for a satisfactory solution for this ever since SoundGecko went out of business in 2015. I want something that reads web news stories in a relatively pleasant way with minimal GUI intervention. SoundGecko was uniquely multi-functional.
