Notes:
The SimCoach platform is a research prototype designed at the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies. It is an interactive virtual human system that allows users to communicate their mental health concerns and receive support. The system is funded by the Department of Defense and is used by military service members and their families to connect with healthcare resources. Data from user interactions with the system is regularly mined to continue to advance its development. The SimCoach platform is also used for training social skills in individuals with autism, and has been used in a simulation of therapy sessions.
