A virtual reality study is a research study that uses virtual reality (VR) or other immersive technologies to investigate a particular topic or phenomenon. Virtual reality studies are typically conducted in a controlled laboratory setting, and may involve the use of specialized VR equipment, such as headsets or motion capture systems, to create a fully immersive virtual environment. These studies may also use virtual human agents, or avatars, to represent human participants or other elements of the virtual environment.
Virtual reality studies can be used to investigate a wide range of topics, including human behavior, psychology, neuroscience, and other fields. For example, a virtual reality study might investigate the effects of different virtual environments on human behavior, or the role of embodiment and social presence in virtual interactions.
