**China’s big tech, virtual human industry to grow by 50% every year until 2025**

The industry using virtual humans in China is expected to be more active than last year.

CNBC reported on the 2nd (local time) that the use of virtual humans in cyberspace, such as China’s digital finance, advertising, and entertainment, is expected to increase.

Baidu’s position is that the number of projects that produce virtual humans has increased noticeably. Last year, the number of productions doubled compared to 2021. The amount that customers pay instead of receiving a virtual human being provided to Baidu is at least $ 2,800 (about 3,558,800 won) and up to $ 14,300 (about 18.2 million won) per year.

Li Shiyan, head of Baidu’s virtual character and robot business division, said, “Customers who order virtual humans are mainly in the fields of finance, tourism, and media. If the industry becomes active, the price will drop by half.” He predicts that the virtual human industry in China will grow by 50% annually through 2025.

Virtual humans are expected to become more active in the Chinese influencer market. According to a report released by Kantar Media, 45% of advertisers in China said they would be willing to sponsor virtual influencer gigs or invite virtual humans to brand events in the future.

Kantar Sirius Wang, Chief Product Officer, said, â??Chinese brands are trending toward advertising with virtual humans.â?

The first virtual influencer to work in China is Luo Tianyu, created in 2012 by video and game streaming app Bilibili. Last year, he performed an opening ceremony at the Beijing Olympics. They also have over 3 million fans.

An official from Bilibili said, “Starting this year, we focused on improving the texture of virtual human voices with artificial intelligence algorithms.”
