**Yongin Severance Hospital and Maum AI Partner to Develop Intelligent Human AI Concierge Services in a First for South Korean Hospitals**
Yonsei University’s Yongin Severance Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Eun-kyung) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 28 with Maum AI, a developer of AI platforms, to develop ‘intelligent human AI concierge’, marking a first for a comprehensive hospital in South Korea. The ‘human AI concierge’ is a technology providing concierge services for patients visiting the hospital, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), virtual human, and voice technologies.
The agreement ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations, including Park Jin-young, the head of the Digital Medical Industry Center at Yongin Severance Hospital, and Yu Tae-jun, the representative of Maum AI. They agreed to jointly promote the human AI concierge service in medical institutions and discussed future cooperation plans.
Yongin Severance Hospital plans to maximize outpatient environment improvements and hospital operational efficiency by jointly developing an AI concierge service model and additional service content through the construction of an intelligent human AI concierge. This would allow for two-way communication between patients and virtual humans, including intra-hospital location guidance, first-time patient guidance, guidance for medical departments and primary physicians per disease, and expected medical examination waiting time inquiries.
Meanwhile, Maum AI, who signed the agreement with Yongin Severance Hospital, holds a total of 82 AI-related patents based on its own research results. The company provides various AI services applied with AI original technologies, including AI contact centers and AI human services applying customized GPT for companies.
