The short film, Yellow Dove Aftermath, was recently featured at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This award-winning film offers insight into the larger project called Hour Blue, an ambitious immersive “StoryWorld” co-founded by **Rony Abovitz**, founder of Magic Leap, Richard Taylor from WÄ?tÄ Workshop, and Chris DeFaria, former president of Warner Bros. Animation and DreamWorks Feature Animation Group.
Hour Blue is a multi-platform, persistent animated universe, including feature films, books, music, art, social media, and shorts. The narrative is set in a remote world controlled by techno-deities, following a brother and sister on separate journeys to incite change and enlightenment.
The creators aim to engage audiences through various media formats, offering a toolkit for artists to participate in the world-building process. The objective is to appeal to younger audiences who have diverse content consumption habits and to use technology to construct an expansive, interconnected StoryWorld.
The short film will be showcased at various film festivals, with more partnerships and short films set to debut over the next year.
