**Yuga Labs**, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection, is developing a virtual world named Otherside, allowing Bored Ape NFT holders to embody their digital avatars within this metaverse. Despite the wavering NFT market, they held a live demo in Los Angeles, enabling select Bored Ape holders to explore a new “tier 5” island, a potential virtual clubhouse for the community, and share real-time feedback. Richard Porfirio, a participant, sees Otherside as a potential hub for social activities, live events, and even a marketplace for collectibles. Even without a fixed release date, Yuga Labs is working towards enhancing Bored Ape holders’ value and experience in this new digital frontier.
