**The U.S. Food and Drug Administration** is creating a Digital Health Advisory Committee to provide guidance on the use of emerging digital technologies in medicine. They are currently seeking nominations for a nine-member team to offer insights on AI/ML, augmented reality, virtual reality, digital therapeutics, wearables, remote patient monitoring, and software. This committee will offer advice on the advantages, risks, clinical outcomes, and possible unintended consequences from policies regarding digital health technologies. It may also provide guidance on how these technologies can be incorporated into clinical trials or post-market studies. Jeff Shuren, the director of the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health, emphasized the importance of these technologies in advancing health equity.
