Are human computer interaction and artificial intelligence related fields?

Yes, Human–computer interaction precedes Human–robot interaction.  Human–robot interaction increasingly requires Natural Language Interaction (NLI), mediated by Natural language processing, which is generally considered a sub-field of Artificial intelligence.
