I’m not sure you can, or should, go directly from fromto . There is a missing layer in between. For instance, interprets language in terms of concepts. And , a sub-field of cognitive linguistics, basically holds that perception, or cognition, expresses itself through language, via conceptualization. So I would say, it may be better to concentrate on the meta-linguistic layer(s) of abstraction, which likely involves pure mathematics.
