**Virtual Being Companies & Facebook**
*While I concede constraints imposed by Facebook can be esoteric, I am inclined to think less of companies whose websites are not properly optimised for social media. In the case of Facebook, websites at a minimum ought to parse properly for Facebook posts. I am often consternated by social media agencies whose websites do not parse properly for Facebook.*
*Further on Facebook, proper Facebook Pages may substitute for a website, for instance early in the piece. I check every single company for a Facebook Page, and am often consternated at how many company Facebook Pages languish abandoned. I do think that no Facebook Page might be better than neglected ones, which reflect an air of negligence in general in my mind. In particular, I find Facebook Pages worthy for the forwarding of short videos into the Virtual Beings group, because Facebook biases native video for quality. Facebook Pages and shared posts are also good because they provide a backlink for follow-up, etc. I also take a dim view of Facebook Pages that disable feedback, or have only bots for feedback. Another annoyance with Facebook Pages are large enterprises who force auto-forwarding into regional Facebook Pages, yuck.*
*I am not in favour of asymmetrical social media, in other words posting vastly different content to different channels. I expect to find the same or similar content across all social media channels. Posting insider videos to LinkedIn or Twitter, and abandoning Facebook Pages, I find not a clever social media strategy. Also, almost everyone in the industry is on Facebook, if not in the Virtual Beings group. Posting cool stuff about your own company to LinkedIn or Twitter, and not posting to Facebook, when you are a member of the Virtual Beings group, I actually find to be obnoxious.*
