**EVR Studio, which is developing ‘Project TH’, unveils digital human production technology at SIGGRAPH Asia**

EVR Studio (CEO Kim Jae-hwan, Yoon Yong-gi, hereinafter referred to as EVR) announced on the 9th that it participated in ‘Siggraph Asia 2022’ held at EXCO in Daegu and unveiled its own digital human creation tool ‘Face Gen’ technology.

SIGGRAPH ASIA is the world’s most prestigious graphic technology conference that deals with research topics such as game and graphic design, computer animation and interaction technology, and visual effects. This technology presentation was held at the invitation of Autodesk, a software company.

EVR Tech Art Director Park Jae-wook conveyed the efforts and concerns of the early development process of digital humans, and unveiled ‘FaceGen’, a technology that automatically processes facial data based on formulas obtained from continued research.

‘FaceGen’ analyzes facial expressions according to each muscle structure of the scanned face and can automatically create the shapes needed to construct a face rig. In addition, through the self-developed parallel computation kernel, the computational processing compared to the computation through the CPU has been improved 1.5 million times compared to the previous one. Vice President Park Jae-wook explained that the most important function of FaceGen is to create natural facial expressions based on muscle structure.

Meanwhile, EVR is a professional company that has been researching and developing digital humans since 2016 based on professional development personnel including Hollywood movie visual effect designers.

It is the only company in Korea that has the technology to automate the scanning equipment, modeling, and rigging processes developed with its own technology, and was recognized internally and externally for its digital human production technology. ‘ and was awarded the ‘Unreal Dev Grant’.

In addition, ‘Project TH (shaman)’ is being developed, which is attracting attention as an AAA game using digital human production technology. The game utilized Seok Jung-hyun’s popular webtoon ‘Shaman’ IP (intellectual property). It is an action-adventure console game based on a unified Korea in the near future, and features famous actors such as Heo Seong-tae and Lee Hong-nae as characters using digital human production technology.
