**Virtual humans don’t have ‘humanity’?… Startups that build storytelling**
Cutting Edge, a creative platform company, announced on the 20th that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Toon Plus, a content producer and distributor, for virtual humans.
Through this partnership, both sides will build virtual human storytelling and worldviews based on each company’s media content and storytelling capabilities.
It plans to discover new intellectual property rights (IP) such as web novels and webtoons in which virtual humans are active, and to cooperate in various fields such as planning and developing contents related to virtual humans based on IP owned by Toon Plus.
Previously, Cutting Edge had entered into a partnership with Yourround, which operates the virtual human video production solution ‘Metasoul’. The goal is to provide new value to customers and generate revenue through the entire process of a virtual human being active as an artist.
This collaboration with Toon Plus is expected to further enhance the competitiveness of Cutting Edge’s virtual human management business. Toon Plus has a strong fan base with contents based on original stories such as the webtoon ‘Boss in School’ and ‘The Movie is Real’.
Cutting Edge develops virtual human management business by utilizing various media platform networks such as outdoor media, social media, OTT, and metabus in all directions. In the future, he plans to gradually expand his activities such as acting, modeling, music, and commerce.
