**Contributing to the creation of content for the visually impaired… Lion Rocket, Minister of Science and Technology Award**
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology startup Lion Rocket announced on the 30th that it had won the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the ‘ICT Fund Project Performance Report’.
This event was prepared to establish a public-private collaboration ecosystem through networking between ICT specialized institutions and companies, and to award small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and those who have contributed greatly to the development of fund projects.
Established in 2019, Lion Rocket is operating the production platform ‘On Air Studio’, where anyone can easily create virtual human content. By simply inputting letters, it is possible to produce a video in which virtual humans speak naturally like real people.
It was awarded this commendation in recognition of its contribution to the AI â??â??voice engine for book publishing and the production of barrier-free voice content for the visually impaired with the voice synthesis technology that served as the basis for On Air Studio, as well as job creation.
In September, it launched a virtual face app called ‘VeryMe’. Verimi is a service that allows you to create your own virtual face based on a real user’s face and use it for content creation.
Jeong Seung-hwan, CEO of Lion Rocket, said, “We will strive to expand the scope of application of AI technology, which has been evolving, in the future.”
