**A digital human implemented as a 3D hologram, attracting attention at ‘CES 2023’**
The world’s largest information technology (IT) exhibition ‘CES 2023’ held in Las Vegas, USA ended successfully on the 8th (local time), and digital humans with 3D hologram technology drew attention from visitors.
‘CES 2023’ was held face-to-face three years after Corona 19. More than 100,000 visitors visited the event, confirming expectations for new technologies that can overcome the global economic downturn.
While various technologies drew attention, Hypervsn, a British company specializing in 3D holograms, captured the attention of visitors by implementing a large digital human.
The company said, “Many companies have introduced virtual humans, but most of them have been implemented online, such as the Metaverse platform, or limitedly expressed through 2D-based digital signage.” proud,” he said.
Hypervsn has unveiled holograms of various sizes, from a real human size of 1.8 m in height to a large digital human over 5 m in height. It also introduced a technology that takes pictures of visitors to the exhibition hall and realizes them as holograms. The digital human in the hologram can have a conversation through an artificial intelligence-based chatbot service, and it is possible to move according to the motion of the audience based on interactive technology. In the exhibition hall, a large digital human singing and dancing according to the instructions of the visitors was displayed as a hologram.
Cosweal (CEO Lee Sang-jun), Hypervsn’s official partner in Asia, also introduced digital human production technology implemented in 3D hologram for the first time in Korea in August of last year. Cosweal’s digital human uses artificial intelligence-based technology that can create a virtual person in the form desired by the customer. An official from the company said, “If you input a message with TTS (Text to Speech) technology, you can talk like a real person,” and “You can select the digital human’s face, expression, and gesture as you like.” He added, “The final digital human is realized as a 3D hologram through real-time rendering technology.”
Lee Sang-joon, CEO of Cosweal, said, â??Digital humans implemented as 3D holograms are receiving favorable reviews in the offline-based media advertising market.â? I expect to catch it,” he said.
