**2023 China Internet Conference Launches Digital Human Development Initiative**
The 22nd China Internet Conference held a forum in Beijing on July 20, 2023, focused on the development of digital human industry. The forum discussed ways to enhance the use of digital humans in areas such as media and services. Key speakers included Chen Jiachun, executive deputy secretary-general of the Internet Society of China, who emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and digital human innovation in internet development, and Wu Suoning, member of the Advisory Committee of the Internet Society of China, who highlighted the growth of digital humans as a part of the digital intelligence Internet era.
The forum announced the launch of the “China Digital Human Pilot Program” and awarded its first 30 partners. Several case studies of digital human scenarios from 2023 and the “Second Digital Human Boutique Show” were displayed.
Multiple industry leaders shared their experiences and thoughts on digital human development in the media, service, and supporting technology fields. There was an emphasis on the potentials of digital humans in diverse areas such as media innovation, sports, marketing, and even as virtual spokespeople.
The forum also released several initiatives, including the multi-level “China Digital Human Pilot Program,” aimed at creating a digital human industry development ecosystem. At the forum’s end, it was announced that the first “China Digital Human Conference” will be held in 2024 to continue fostering cooperation and development within the digital human ecosystem. Over 200 individuals from various sectors attended the forum, including government departments, industry associations, and research institutions.
