**South Korean AI startup, Upstage**, has entered into an agreement with Metaverse Entertainment, a Netmarble Corp. subsidiary, to co-develop Persona AI. Upstage aims to endow chatbots with distinct personalities, allowing them to converse authentically like the virtual idol group, MAVE:, created by Metaverse Entertainment. Upstage will utilize its top-ranked SOLAR model from the “HuggingFace” platform and its “AskUp” chatbot, boasting 1.45 million users, to craft unique conversational styles for MAVE: members, influenced by factors like their MBTI results. Upstage’s CEO, Kim Seong-hoon, expressed the company’s ambition to pioneer AI innovation in various sectors using the SOLAR model.
