**Paradigm AI Corporation: Pioneering the Future of AI-Driven Virtual Idol Entertainment**
Paradigm AI Corporation, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo and led by CEO Yoshida Taiyo, has recently raised funds in a pre-seed round from Skyland Ventures. Their vision is to create the “strongest entertainment from Japan” and they aim to leverage generative AI technology to efficiently produce virtual humans for both domestic and global markets. Furthermore, they’ve announced the establishment of an AI idol agency, “Paradigm Entertainment” and will be hosting auditions for their first AI idol unit called “aideal”, a portmanteau of “ideal” and “AI”, symbolizing the aspiration to create everyone’s ideal idol.
An AI idol is a non-existent idol created using generative AI technology. By employing generative AI in the 3DCG production process, it’s possible to significantly reduce both time and costs. These AI idols, unrestricted by language or active hours, aim to deliver top-tier entertainment to a global audience.
The auditions for the “aideal” unit will be conducted through an official site and a special website where users can vote. The top five candidates, out of the eight, who receive the most votes during the voting period from October 11th to October 22nd will be selected as members of the “aideal” unit. The results will be announced on October 24th.
In light of the funds raised, Paradigm AI plans to use generative AI to establish efficient virtual human production technology and voice synthesis for singing. Given the worldwide attention on the virtual human market, which is expected to grow by more than 44.7% between 2022 and 2029, and the continual advancement of generative AI, there is a belief that this technology will seamlessly integrate into people’s lives.
By the end of October, under the agency “Paradigm Entertainment”, Paradigm AI plans to announce a new unit and by November, they aim to release the unit’s songs and music videos. They plan to use SNS and lyrics in multiple languages to appeal to a global audience and will continue to unveil new units over time.
The CEO of Paradigm AI, Yoshida Taiyo, emphasized the synergy between entertainment and generative AI, and the unique charm of Japanese idol culture which can captivate and enrich people’s lives. Paradigm AI aspires to combine this established idol culture with the latest technology to create a new form of entertainment that appeals worldwide.
Skyland Venturesâ?? representative, Nakamura Kokiya, mentioned that they invested in Paradigm AI due to its potential to be a game-changer in the talent industry, offering solutions to challenges like working hours and compliance faced by existing talents, especially with the advancements in generative AI allowing for more human-like virtual talents.
