Notes:
NPCEditor is a tool that uses a statistical language modeling approach called relevance models (probabilistic relevance model) to generate natural language responses. It is designed to be used in the development of virtual humans, which are computer-generated characters that can interact with users in a natural and lifelike way.
NPCEditor is now part of a Virtual Human Toolkit, which is a collection of modules, tools, and libraries that allow developers to create their own virtual humans. The Virtual Human Toolkit includes a range of tools and libraries for tasks such as natural language processing, speech synthesis, and facial animation, and it is designed to be a flexible and powerful platform for building virtual humans.
- Question generation tools are tools that are used to automatically generate questions based on a given topic or set of data. These tools might be used, for example, to generate questions for a quiz or a game, or to create practice questions for students.
- Storyteller agents are software programs that are designed to create and tell stories based on given input or data. These agents might be used, for example, to generate stories for children or to create personalized stories for users based on their preferences or interests.
- Virtual suspects are computer-generated characters that are used in training or simulation scenarios to represent suspects in a crime or other investigation. These characters might be used, for example, to train law enforcement officers in interviewing techniques or to simulate interrogations in a simulated crime scene.
