Notes:
Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), such as Emotiv BCI, are systems that allow users to control computers or other devices using only their brain activity. They can be used in virtual reality (VR) to enable users to control and interact with virtual environments using their thoughts alone.
Emotiv BCI is a commercially available BCI system that uses a headset with electrodes to measure the electrical activity of the user’s brain. The system is able to detect and interpret a wide range of brain signals, including signals related to emotions, expressions, and mental commands. This allows users to control and interact with the virtual environment using their thoughts and emotions alone.
In virtual reality, Emotiv BCI can be used to enable users to control and interact with the virtual environment using their thoughts and emotions. For example, a user could use the system to move a virtual avatar or object simply by thinking about moving it, or to select and interact with virtual objects using their thoughts and emotions. This can provide a more immersive and intuitive way of interacting with virtual environments, and it can enable users to experience VR in a more natural and intuitive way.
- Declarative decision making is a type of decision-making process that is based on the use of facts, evidence, and logical reasoning. In declarative decision making, decisions are made by considering the available information and using logical reasoning to evaluate the options and choose the most appropriate course of action. This approach is often contrasted with procedural decision making, which is based on the execution of pre-defined rules or procedures rather than on logical reasoning.
- Steady-state evoked potentials (SSEPs) are a type of brain activity that can be measured using electroencephalography (EEG). SSEPs are produced by the brain in response to repetitive stimuli, such as a flashing light or a repeating sound. By measuring SSEPs, it is possible to study the activity of the brain and to investigate various neurological and psychological phenomena, such as attention, learning, and memory. SSEPs are often used in research and clinical settings as a non-invasive way to study brain function.
