Are recurrent neural networks suitable for making an automated question answering system, if so how?

Are recurrent neural networks suitable for making an automated question answering system, if so how?

There has been a tremendous increase in interest in Recurrent Neural Networks in the past 1–2 years. What I can say from a brief review of the literature is that Recurrent Neural Networks are being used much more often in dialog systems for discourse relation recognition, or dialog state tracking, which is much less of an issue in question answering systems. Generally, question answering systems are made using question-answer pairs; so, the requirement for tracking longer conversations would not be a priority.
