Are there existing search engines for APIs?
ProgrammableWeb API Directory would be the closest thing I’m aware of to a “search engine for APIs”. Mashape is a variation on the theme, although closer to an aggregator than a directory. Many systems have proprietary, private or secret APIs, in varying stages of development.
