Has any Indian startup or company forayed into the race for artificial intelligence?

There are topics on Quora for Artificial Intelligence in India and Robotics in India. Yourstory.com is a good source of information on AI startups in India.  In Bangalore, the so-called “Silicon Valley” of India, there has been a bifurcation happening over the past year or so, with Natural Language Processing startups being overtaken by Computer Vision startups.  Bangalore is not the capital of NLP in India in any case, with IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Mumbai producing the most PhDs.  NLP is overshadowed by Machine Learning and Big Data, particularly in Bangalore; though, Sentiment Analysis is rapidly gaining ground within the IT industry.  In terms of AI and Robotics, the Military Industrial Complex of course also has its hand in, though firewalled to the general public.
