How can cities be made into smart cities by using artificial intelligence?
Indeed the Internet of Things will form a cornerstone of the intelligent cities to come. Interestingly, there does not seem to be a Wikipedia Category for Smart Cities yet. A simple google for smart cities checklist reveals Smart Cities Readiness Guide: The Quick Tour by the Smart Cities Council.
One thing I can say for sure, the city of Bengaluru (aka Bangalore), in India, is missing the opportunity of a lifetime to showcase to the whole world what a miracle a truly smart city could be (see Intelligent transportation systems).
