With experience and digital empowerment, six idiom digitization achievements have been hatched, including my country’s first idiom digital person promotion ambassador, the first Handan idiom map, and the first idiom digital block.
Handan is the “capital of Chinese idioms and allusions”. There are more than 1,500 idioms that occur in Handan or are related to Handan. The Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism and Baidu jointly implemented the Handan Digital Idiom Project, with online construction as the core and simultaneous construction of an offline experience hall.
According to Zhang Chengwen, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Handan Municipal Party Committee, party secretary and director of the Handan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, as of now, the Handan City Digital Idiom Project has accumulated 390 million times of dissemination in various media, and the number of identifiable users is 97.51 million. The total reading volume of the Encyclopedia of Idioms and Allusions exceeds 65.03 million, and the recognition and influence of Handan as the “Capital of Chinese Idioms and Allusions” has been greatly enhanced.
The first idiom digital person promotion ambassador “Handan Dan”. The digital human “Handan Dan” has the abilities of natural language, tiptoe dance, knowledge of idioms, game interaction, etc., and has the attributes of digital and physical commodity transactions. Since its launch, it has been viewed more than 390 million times. “Handandan” can provide brands, scenic spots, and institutions with live broadcast, image endorsement and other publicity services online, and offline can bring tourists service experience such as idiom solitaire and idiom games, and its capabilities will continue to deepen and expand.
The first Handan idiom map. The idiom map is integrated in the Baidu map APP, innovatively opening up the functions of Baidu’s various ecological scenes, linking the consumption sector, and one-click access to the idiom encyclopedia, digital idiom blocks, etc. It is the first city-level dedicated map in my country. Since its launch, the popularity has continued to rise, with over 57.23 million views.
The first idiom number block. Using real-scene AR navigation technology, the historical and cultural block of Huiche Lane in Handan has been built into a “Huiche Lane idiom digital block”. It is used to purchase cultural and creative products, scenic spot tickets, etc., to stimulate consumption, and has interacted more than 150,000 times since its launch.
The first metaverse capital of idioms and allusions. Metaverse “The Capital of Chinese Idioms and Allusions” is built in Baidu’s “Xi Rang”, including three core scenes: Zhaowang City, Wuling Congtai, and Idioms Museum. “Digital + Physical” consumer goods exhibition and sales transaction, with over 1.47 million visitors since its launch.
The first digital collection of idioms. Using Baidu super chain technology, we invite well-known domestic design teams to create a batch of digital collections of Handan idioms and allusions. On November 17, 2022, 10 kinds of 4,000 sets of digital collections such as Hufu riding and shooting, Handan toddler, etc. were released ahead of schedule, and were snatched up by netizens within 3 minutes of going online, realizing the “applause and popularity” of digital idiom products.
The first idiom allusion database. Relying on the Baidu Encyclopedia knowledge platform, the Handan idiom allusion encyclopedia theme database has been built, and 100 Handan idiom allusions have been certified and collected. In the later period, other encyclopedia entries will be gradually improved, and 7 idiom-themed offline scenic spots will be provided with one-click jump map navigation, For consumer services, create a special Baidu Encyclopedia area dedicated to Handan idioms and allusions, and produce 10 exquisite Handan idioms and allusions animated short films, which are embedded in the animation form of “Miaodao Baike”.
