**Leading Live-streamer Viya Ventures into Virtual Human Broadcasting**

After being “invisible” for over 500 days, Viya, a leading livestreamer in China, has recently made a significant move. Her company has established a joint venture with Silicon-based Technology, supported by Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), intending to fully venture into the digital human livestreaming market. As of now, this business is still in its initial stage.

The joint venture, Hangzhou Qianyu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., was established with a registered capital of 3 million yuan. The shareholders are Lingke (Hangzhou) Network Technology Co., Ltd and Nanjing Silicon-based Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd, each holding 50% of the shares. Lingke is wholly-owned by Qianxun (Hangzhou) Cultural Media Co., Ltd. Moreover, Viya’s husband, Dong Haifeng, is appointed as the chairman of the new company.

Founded in 2017, Silicon-based Technology has been committed to AI and digital human application for businesses’ digital upgrade. Their business has covered nearly tens of thousands of enterprises across various industries, producing nearly 1.5 million digital humans. It shows that Viya and her husband have seen the vast potential in the digital human livestreaming market.

Moreover, it’s worth noting that this company is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Not long ago, Qianxun (Hangzhou) Holdings Co., Ltd. purchased industrial land in Hangzhou’s Binjiang District for 22 million yuan, which may be used for the construction of the new company. It’s said that this plot may serve as the livestreaming base for the company. Combining this with the current investment in the AI company, they may venture into the AI+e-commerce domain.

As the era of web 3.0 arrives and the digital economy develops rapidly, the commercial value of virtual digital humans is increasingly exploited, becoming a “weapon” for small and medium enterprises to solve the problem of hiring live broadcasters. Famous financial writer Wu Xiaobo once said, “In 2023, every company might need a digital human.” In this context, many well-known brands have developed their own digital human IPs, targeting virtual digital humans as a tool for livestreaming, short videos, brand endorsement, and other application scenarios.
