**NTT DATA **has developed a lifelike human avatar named Marianne, which was presented at the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The avatar, which can interact with humans through voice and visual prompts, was set up on a kiosk equipped with a large, high-quality screen and a camera. Marianne is named after Marianne Martin, the US cyclist who won the 1984 Tour de France Féminin, an early version of the women’s race.
