**Rinna Co. Ltd.**, a Japanese firm specializing in avatars and AI, is launching a feature allowing avatars to mimic the Filipino accent, targeting the Philippine market. Users can input Filipino text, and the software animates an avatar to voice it conversationally, complete with hand gestures and facial expressions. Additionally, users can become avatars using special equipment. Alex Lagata, Rinna’s global business director, highlights its applications in marketing, HR, and education, and its potential to simplify online sales and business presentations. The AI can also translate over a hundred languages, addressing language barriers, and emphasizing accent nuances to respect and convey messages authentically. Despite its human-like qualities, Rinna intentionally retained a slightly robotic sound to distinguish it as AI, reaffirming that the tool is not designed to replace humans but to aid in routine tasks. Rinna envisions a harmonious collaboration between humans and AI.
