BELIVVR’s XRCLOUD, an evolution of the original Mozilla Hub, introduced a distinct full-body avatar editor in 2022, which was subsequently used at Chonnam National University’s CNUMetaversity. Addressing the rising demand in the hub’s Discord community for full-body avatars, BELIVVR made the technology open source. This avatar editor, available on GitHub, allows users to craft avatars by merging parts and supports exporting these avatars in a universal 3D format, glb files. While it currently integrates seamlessly with XRCLOUD, integration with Mozilla Hubs is underway.
